LES Preschool through 1st Grade students recently visited Country Cousins Pumpkin Patch.

The field trip provided a fun and educational opportunity for our young learners to experience the beauty of the fall season, explore a pumpkin patch, and learn more about agriculture and the natural world through hands-on activities. Students enjoyed a hayride, petting zoo, corn maze, and picked out a pumpkin to take home.

Thank you to staff, parent volunteers, Lind PTO and the team at Country Cousins for helping make this memorable experience possible for our students!

LES Students create creatures!

Students, in the 3rd grade class at LES, recently completed their second reading domain on animal classification.

Each student was given the same materials and asked to create their very own creature. They had to present to the class and share their creature’s name, its unique attributes, if it was cold-blooded or warm-blooded, a vertebrate or invertebrate.

LRMS 6th Grade attend Camp Wooten!

In September, the LRMS 6th graders went on the annual Camp Wooten trip. They had many adventures and made a lot of memories. Thank you to Mr. Weishaar and Mrs. Davey for all their hard work getting things prepared. We also appreciate all the volunteers that help make this a great experience for our students!

This awesome experience would not have been possible without the generous donations from local businesses and families.

The LRCS Board of Directors is committed to finding the best candidate for the district's next superintendent. As part of this effort, we invite our families and community to share their perspectives and participate in the selection process.

To lead the search, the Board has partnered with Northwest Leadership Associates, a firm specializing in superintendent searches throughout the Pacific Northwest. The search process will provide multiple opportunities for staff, students, families, and community members to contribute their thoughts on the qualities and priorities they value most in the district’s next leader.

One way to share your input is by participating in a Leadership Profile Survey, available online through November 14, 2025. This survey will help identify the core values desired in the next superintendent.

LRMS & LRHS Attend Career Showcase

On October 9th, more than 40 businesses, organizations, and colleges filled Gilson Gymnasium to connect with our 8th–12th grade students about their futures — from immediate employment and internships to college and career training opportunities that align with their High School and Beyond Plans.

This year marked the 7th Annual Career Showcase at Lind-Ritzville High School, and students are saying it was the best one yet! On October 9th, more than 40 businesses, organizations, and colleges filled Gilson Gymnasium to connect with our 8th–12th grade students about their futures — from immediate employment and internships to college and career training opportunities that align with their High School and Beyond Plans.

Students arrived with a “career passport” and guiding questions designed to help them explore how each organization could fit into their vision for life after high school. As they collected signatures and insights, they also built momentum toward their post-secondary goals — discovering the many pathways that lead to success beyond graduation.

Over 250 students attended this year’s showcase, making it our most engaging event yet! A big thank-you to our vendors for investing in our students’ futures and to Kyle Niehenke for organizing this powerful day of exploration, connection, and inspiration.
